FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
General
What areas does Logcon service?+
Logcon's primary coverage is the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Ontario regions. We also run longhaul dedicated routes to Quebec on request. Founded in 2019 and based in Oakville, Ontario.
What kind of trucking company is Logcon?+
Logcon is a dedicated transportation carrier, not a parcel or LTL (less-than-truckload) company. We run full truckload freight on fixed, customized routes for contracted customers, using 53ft dry van, reefer, straight truck, and cargo van equipment.
How do I get a quote from Logcon?+
Submit a request at logcon.ca/quote or call (905) 208-9858. We typically respond within one business day, often the same day.
How do I create a Logcon client account?+
Logcon accounts are set up by our team, not through open self-signup. Contact us at (905) 208-9858 or operation@logcon.ca (or submit a quote request) to become a customer, and we'll create your account and email you a secure link to set your client portal password. Once it's active, you can log in to see every shipment on your account.
How do I reach Logcon directly for something urgent?+
Call (905) 208-9858 (toll-free 1-866-7LOGCON) or email operation@logcon.ca. For non-urgent questions, the contact form gets a response within one business day.
Tracking
How do I track my Logcon shipment?+
Enter your shipment number together with the delivery postal code at logcon.ca/track, or use the tracking link sent to you by email or SMS when your shipment was booked. Existing account holders can also log in to the client portal to see the full history of every shipment on their account.
What do the shipment status updates mean?+
Statuses follow the shipment from Booked through Driver Assigned, Picked Up, In Transit, and Delivered. If a load is running behind schedule it's marked Delayed with a reason (for example, weather or road conditions); if something needs attention it's marked Exception and our team is notified automatically.
Why do I need a postal code to track a shipment, not just the tracking number?+
Requiring the destination postal code alongside the shipment number protects customer freight data from being looked up by anyone who doesn't already know both details, the same reason banks ask for more than one identifier. It's a deliberate security measure, not an extra step for its own sake.
Services & Equipment
What's the difference between a 53ft dry van and a straight truck?+
A 53ft dry van is a full-size trailer for high-volume general cargo and scheduled routes. A straight truck is a smaller, self-contained unit better suited to tight urban docks, limited receiving space, or mid-size loads that don't need a full trailer.
Does Logcon handle temperature-controlled freight?+
Yes. Our reefer units maintain a set temperature range for the full trip and log it continuously, meeting Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) cold-chain requirements. Used for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical shipments year-round.
Can Logcon handle same-day or expedited freight?+
Yes, through our cargo van service, which is dedicated to time-sensitive, smaller-volume freight such as expedited automotive parts runs and last-mile GTA delivery.
Coverage
Does Logcon deliver to Quebec?+
Yes. While our primary coverage is the GTA and surrounding Ontario, we run longhaul dedicated routes to Quebec on request.
Safety & Compliance
Is Logcon licensed and insured?+
Yes, Logcon is fully licensed and insured, with a GPS-tracked fleet and professionally qualified drivers. Every account operates under a customized standard operating procedure (SOP) built around that customer's specific requirements.
How does Logcon handle a shipment that's running late?+
Every load on a dedicated route is monitored against its appointment window. If a delay is detected, the shipment is flagged with a reason code and the assigned customer contact is notified proactively, rather than the customer having to call and ask.
